Lorna holds a B.Sc (hons) degree in Biology. Her first career was in the fast paced world of professional recruitment, with over 8 years experience. In 2002 she was attuned to Level I of the Usui Reiki System, as a personal self-support system to alleviate the stress levels of managing a busy team; and in 2003 she completed level II.
In 2004 Lorna chose to move her life in a new direction; having worked in a stressful job she decided to change career to help people cope with stress. She retrained at Raworth International, Dorking, studying the Natural Health Practitioners Diploma. This included Diplomas in Swedish Massage, Therapeutic Massage, Acupressure Massage, Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Indian Head Massage and Chinese Face Massage.
She has taken further training in Deep Tissue Massage, Trigger/Pressure Point Release and Myofascial Release.
She also has specialised in women’s health, studying reflexology for sub-fertility, maternity reflexology, pregnancy massage and baby massage, where she teaches parents how to massage their children.
Lorna worked at Addlestone Therapy Centre for 10 years, before joining Weybridge Natural Therapies in August 2015.
